"Mirroring" 이란 동일한 데이터의 복제나 혹은 그래픽적으로 어떤 도형의 반사 이미지를 표현하는 것을 의미한다.
하지만 본 작업에서 제안한 방법은 소프트웨어 프로그램이나 앱을 이용한 단순한 방식이 아닌 실제 반사 재질(거울 등)을 통해 형성되는 형의 상징성에 주목하여, 프레임의 주체가 되는 원형과 미러링 되어 복제된 형태 간의 새로운(New) 관계에 의미를 부여하고자 하는 작업이었다.
본 전시는 "몸짓"이라는 주제로 이전 두 번의 작업에 이은 세 번째 시리즈 작업이다.
지난 두 번의 작업은 인간이 호흡을 얻기 전 조물주에 의해 빚어진 상태의 냉철한 조형적 오브제에 가까운 해석에 의미를 두었다면, 금번 전시는 몸의 움직임과 거울을 통한 반영이 특정 위치에 결합 될 때 미학적으로 원형의 본질과는 전혀 다른 새로운 형의 발견을 사진적 언어로 표현 하는 작업이다.
그 과정에서 출현한 왜곡과 기이한 형상은 인간의 창조적 본질에 영향을 미치는 기형적 왜곡을 상징하며, 허상에 불과한 반영된 형은 인간 사고의 불완전한 이념을 의미하기도 한다. 이것은 원형과 미러링된 허상이 재결합될 때 상황에 따라 원형적 본질에서는 느낄 수 없는 전혀 다른 새로운 의미의 조형적 형의 재설정을 볼 수있게 한다.
본 작업과정을 용어적 정리의 필요성이 있어 "뉴 미러링 아트 (New_ neo mirroring arts)"로 제안하고자 한다.

뉴 미러링 아트(New_ neo mirroring arts)
컴퓨터 및 소프트웨어의 복제 및 회전을 이용하여 대칭성을 부여하는 단순한 의미의 미러링의 개념에서 벗어나 실제 반사율을 가진 소재를 이용하여 주체가 되는 원형을 반사시켜 복제된 이미지와 실제 원형과의 재조합을 통해 원형이 가지고 있던 이미지와 다른 새로운 조형적 의미를 재설정 한다. ⓒKIM SUK HAN

"Mirroring" means reproducing the same data or representing a reflected image of a figure graphically.
However, the proposed method in this study was not a simple method using a software program or app, but a task to give meaning to the new relationship between the mirrored original and copied form, focusing on the symbolism of the shape formed through the actual reflective material (mirror, etc.).
This exhibition is the third series of works under the theme of "Gesture."
If the previous two tasks were meaningful in interpreting the human body from the perspective of the cold sculpture created by the Creator's hand before humans gained breath, his exhibition is a work that expresses a new form of discovery in the language of photography, which is aesthetically completely different from the original form when the body's movement and reflection through a mirror are combined at a specific location.
The distortion and bizarre shape that appeared in the process symbolize deformed distortion that affects the nature of the prototype, and the reflected form, which is only a virtual image, also means an incomplete ideology of human thinking. Through this, depending on the situation in which the circular and mirrored virtual images are recombined, it is possible to see a reset with a completely different meaning that cannot be felt in the nature of the original work.
Since we need to organize the terms, we would like to propose this process as "New[_Neo] mirroring Arts"
(see Glossary below).
New_ neo mirroring Arts
Apart from the simple concept of mirroring that gives symmetry by using the reproduction and rotation of computers and software, a new formative meaning different from the original image is reset through the recombination of the reproduced image and the actual original form by reflecting the original form which is the subject by using the material having the actual reflectivity. ⓒKim Suk Han
