신비
고화도의 불을 견뎌낸 결정체들은 신비로움이 가득한 도자기 보석으로, 때로는 영롱한 밤하늘로, 자유롭게 하늘을 나는 새로 승화된다.
자연을 품은 작품의 소재들은 심상을 통해 절제된 아름다움으로 생동감 있는 색채로 새롭게 탄생된다.
심상을 통해 바라본 세상은 어떤세상일까?
개인의 회고를 통한 시간의 현재화는 물질적 사유를 환기시킨다.
거기에는 다양한 도예작업이 등장한다.
기존의 틀을 깬 새롭고 다양한 융합의 작업은 시대성과 예술성, 대중성을 고루 갖춘 작가라는 평을 받고 있다.
융합의 재료로는 옻칠, 자개, 유리등 다양하다.
작가는 안료와 다양한 유약 테크닉과 융합의 재료들을 작품에 심도 있게 끌어 들이고있다.
도자회화의 새로운 영역에서 신선하고 파격적인 것과 동시에 도자회화의 패러다임(Paradigm)으로 장르를 개척하고 있다.

Mystery
The crystals that have endured the high temperature of fire are sublimated into porcelain jewels full of mysticism, sometimes into the brilliant night sky, and into birds flying freely in the sky.
The materials of the works that embrace nature are newly born with restrained beauty and vibrant colors through the window of the mind.
What kind of world do you see through the window of your heart?
The making-present of time through individual retrospective evokes ideas for my works.
There, a variety of ceramic works show themselves.
The new and diverse work of fusion that breaks the existing framework makes Seol Sook Young to be praised as an artist who has the characteristics of the times, artistry, and popularity.
There are various materials for fusion, such as lacquer, nacre, and glass.
The artist deeply incorporates pigments, various glazing techniques and materials of fusion into her work.
The artist is pioneering a fresh and unconventional genre as a paradigm of ceramic painting in a new area of ceramic painting.
