불의 회화(도자회화)
도자회화는 흙과 유약, 불의 혼연 일체가 되어야지 최상의 작품이 탄생되기 때문에 흙의 점도와 성질, 색감의 용도, 가마속의 온도와 변수를 계산하여 혼을 불어 넣어야 하는 지난한 과정을 겪어야 하기에 많은 변수가 있지만 우연과 필연의 양면을 가지고 있다.

이번 전시의 테마는 "연과 물방울"이다.
연은 진흙에서 자라지만 진흙에 물들지 않는다. 연꽃잎 위에는 한방울의 오물도 머무르지 않는다. 물이 연잎에 닿으면 그대로 굴러 떨어진다. 연꽃이 피면 물속의 시궁창 냄새는 사라지고 향기로 가득 찬다. 연은 어떤 곳에 있어도 푸르고 맑은 줄기와 잎을 유지 한다. 속세에 물들지 않고 곧은 사람에 비유하며 어떤 곳에 있어도 빛나고 주변 사람들에게 편안함을 주는 사람을 연꽃 같은 사람이라고 한다. 나는 이런 연꽃같은 사람이길 늘 희망하며 그림을 그린다.

Ceramic painting
In ceramic painting, the best work is created when earth, glaze, and fire are mixed together. Therefore, there are many variables in the process, in which you have to infuse the soul by calculating the viscosity and properties of the soil, the use of color, and the temperature and variables in the kiln. The results from this process have two sides, both accidental and inevitable.

This exhibition is about a lotus and water droplet. The lotus grows in mud, but it doesn't get stained by it. Not a drop of dirt stays on the lotus petals. When water hits the lotus leaf, it rolls down. When the lotus flower blooms, the smell of the gutter in the water disappears and it is filled with fragrance. The lotus keeps its green and clear stems and leaves wherever it is located. A person who is not polluted by the world and compared to an upright person, who shines wherever he is and gives comfort to those around him is said to be like a lotus flower. Whenever I draw, I hope to be like a lotus flower.
