EL SEGUNDO MOMENTO : 그 찰나의 공간들
우리가 바라보는 하늘은 그를 구성하고 있는 빛, 구름, 별, 달, 태양 등의 요소들로 매순간 자신의 모습을 달리하며 새로운 모습의 하늘을 보여준다.
시시각각 바뀌어가는 하늘의 모습을 바라보고 나의 사진에 담을 때 난, 온전히 이곳에 존재하고 있음을 느낀다. 그리고 하늘의 변화하는 모습을 바라보고 있자면, 우리 인간의 모습과 많이 닮아있음을 느끼곤 한다. 사람은 같은 시간 속에서 살아가며 존재하고 있지만 매순간을 의식하지 못하고 감정과 생각은 끊임없이 마음과 머릿속을 스쳐지나간다. 그리고 무의식 속 자신이 내리는 수많은 선택과 결정에 영향을 주며 조금씩 본인의 모습을 바꿔나간다. 마치 매순간 하늘의 얼굴이 바뀌고있지만, 그의 모습을 쉽게 인지하지 못하는 것처럼.
다양한 모습의 하늘이 존재하듯 사람 또한 다양한 모습으로 존재한다. 어느곳에서 올려다봐도 같은 하늘이지만, 우리가 서있는 곳의 주변풍경 그리고 보는이의 시각과 감정에따라 다르게 읽히듯, 우리 역시 인간이라는 같은 존재임에도 각자만의 모습과 생각, 자라온 환경과 현재 처한 상황에 따라 서로를 다양한 시선으로 바라본다. 하지만 하늘이 어떤모습이어도 같은하늘이라는 사실이 변함없듯이 인간 또한 같은인간이라는 사실은 변함없다. 그저, 다양한 모습을 있는 그대로 이해하고, 받아들이고, 인정하고 존중이 필요 할 뿐이다. 하늘이 내어주는 모든 모습을 좋아 할 수는 없지만, 우리에게 없어서는 안 될 존재이듯, 인간 또한 그 어떤 모습이어도 누구하나 필요치 않은 이가 없다.
현대 사회 속 일상을 살아낸다는 것이 보이지 않는 사회적인 기준에 맞춰가며 잠시 하늘 또는 자연과 함께 살아간다는걸 실감하기 힘들고. 눈은 뜨고있지만 무엇을 보았는지 기억조차 할 수 없는 순간들을 보내며 잠깐의 고개를 들어 볼 여유조차 없을때도 많다. 그래서 가능하다면 많은 사람이 의식하지 못한 채 스쳐지나갔지만, 우리와 같은 찰나에 존재했던 하늘의 모습을 보여주고 싶다는 생각을 감히 해본다. 각자의 삶을 살아가고 있을 때, 매순간의 우리를 지키는 하늘 또는 다른하늘은 이런 모습이었고, 우리는 그 하늘 아래서 이런 순간들을 보내고 있었다고 말이다.

EL SEGUNDO MOMENTO
The sky we look at comprises of light,clouds, stars, the moon and the sun which constantly changes. Witnessing the ever changing sky and capturing that exact moment completes me, allowing me to feel my existence, and witnessing that change allows me to feel the inevitable similarity between the sky and us - the humans. We live and exist in the same time frame but we fail to recognize the nature of the ‘moment’ and let our feelings and thoughts to bypass our minds. But these ever changing nature of ‘moments’ inevitably shape our choices and decisions without us recognizing the importance of it, just like how skies change constantly without us recognizing that change.
Just like how different skies exist, we exist differently. The sky we look upon exist just the same, but we perceive the sky differently due to the differences of the environment and the subjective nature of the viewer. We are just like the sky. Even though we are all humans we live and think differently according to our own terms and conditions. Sky is sky, and so are we. We just need to understand our differences with recognition and respect. Sky is important regardless of its form and so are we.
Sometimes it is difficult for us to perceive that we live together with the sky and the nature with so many invisible social norms restricting us. Our eyes are wide shut, unable to perceive the passing moments. Even for a split second, we rarely have the luxury of looking at the sky.
We have spent and we will be spending these numerous ‘moments’ under that sky. Therefore, if possible, I dare to present the ‘moment’ we so often miss while we are standing on this earth.
