Kim Ga-bin’s working journal
My work speaks the imaginary question of relationships and relation of all things through the medium of object. My art has pursued the value of pure molding by placing diverse feelings in nature and life in molds called cloisonne and ceramics. And it has sprouted from the breaks from formal, structural and monolithic things and has drawn discourse about vitality in the formative frame
Recent works have focused on beautiful relationships and relation including acquisitions and empties that pass through the journey of our lives, the disappearance and memory of life and death, and various phases based on reality. It projects many stories of our lives as well as the spirit of making cloisonne and ceramics completed by being tempered with fire one by one. The relationships represented in the aggregation of the various objects symbolized under the narration indicate that there is a point to the question of the inner nature which is different from the fixation of the superficial eye and the formative language which scrutinizes the self.

김가빈 작업일지.
나의 작업은 만물의 인연과 관계(Relation)라는 심상적 의문을 오브제라는 매개체를 통해 말한다. 자연과 삶에서 느끼는 다양한 느낌을 칠보와 도자라는 거푸집에 가둔 채 순수조형으로서의 가치를 추구해온 나의 예술은 형식적이고 구조적인 것, 획일적인 것으로부터의 탈피로부터 싹을 틔웠으며, 생명력에 관한 담론을 조형적 틀 내에서 거둬왔다. 근작들은 우리네 삶의 여로를 관통하는 획득과 비움, 생사의 소멸과 기억, 현실을 밑동으로 한 여러 단상을 포함한 아름다운 ‘관계와 인연’에 대해 집중하고 있다. 이는 일일이 불에 담금질하여 완성되는 칠보와 도자기를 제작하는 정성만큼이나 우리의 삶의 많은 이야기들을 투사한다., 그 내레이션 아래 표상된 다양한 오브제의 결집에서 나타내는 관계들은 자신의 자아를 훑는 조형언어이자 표피적인 시선의 고정과는 다른 내적인 본질에 대한 물음에 방점이 있음을 가리킨다.

The process of making a enamel(cloisonne)
A enamel (cloisonne) refers to a technique of baking in a kiln at a temperature of 750 to 800 degrees Celsius using a glaze of glass to be worn on the basis of gold, silver and copper.
The feelings of the colors are so precious and beautiful like gold, silver, mano, glass, pearl,geogeo and maegoe that it is called enamel (cloisonne) (seven treasures).
From the past, the enamel (cloisonne) was very beautiful and gorgeous in color and was loved by women for making accessories and crafts. Since 2010, artist Kim Ga-bin has been trying to make flat paintings with various techniques using enamel (cloisonne) craft techniques The only characteristic of the enamel (cloisonne) is that it can display all colors of achromatic and chromatic colors, transparency and opaque color, and can create a mysterious feeling of melted glaze inside the kiln. Kim Ga-bin's Cloisonne objet paintings, made by using mysterious and diverse expressions made from high-temperature kilns, can reach hundreds of paintings.
The creative work to sublimate colorful, beautiful and luxurious works to Kim Ga-bin's unique formative language will continue.

칠보제작 가이드
칠보는 금, 은, 동 등의 바탕에 갖가지 유리질의 유약을 발라 섭씨 750~800도 고온의 가마에 굽는 공예기법을 말한다. 색상이 마치 동양에서 일컽는 일곱가지 보배--금, 은, 마노, 유리, 거거, 진주,매괴 등과 같이 고귀하고 아름다운 느낌이 보석 같아 칠보라 불리어지고 있다. 칠보는 색상이 매우 아름답고 화려해 예로부터 여인들의 악세사리나 공예품을 만들어 사랑을 받았다. 작가 김가빈은 2010년부터 칠보공예기법으로 다양한 기법을 시도해 평면 회화작업을 시도하고 있다. 칠보가 가지고 있는 유일한 특성은 무채색과 유채색의 모든 색과 투명함과 불투명한 색상을 나타낼 수 있고 가마 안에서 유약이 녹으면서 생기는 신비로운 느낌을 만들어 낼 수 있다는 것이다.. 고온의 가마에서 구어서 만들어진 신비롭고 다양한 표현을 이용해 제작한 김가빈의 실험적이고 창의적 칠보오브제회화 작품은 수백 점에 이를 정도다. 화려하고 아름답고 고급스러운 작품으로 김가빈만의 독특한 조형언어로 승화시키려는 그의 작업은 계속 될 것이다.
