홍콩 컨템포러리 버짓 아트 페어 2013

<HKC 버짓 2013>에 많은 관심을 가져 주셔서 감사합니다. 2012년에 데뷔한 홍콩 컨템포러리의 9월 행사로, ‘버짓(Budget)’이라는 타이틀에 걸맞게 전시자와 미술애호가 모두 편안히 접근할 수 있는 아트페어를 지향합니다. 미술계의 현실을 고려하여 경제적이면서도 수준 높은 아트페어를 마련하는 것을 목적하고 있습니다.

주최사와 운영팀

<HKC 버짓 2013>은 컨크릿 월 크리에이션(Concrete Wall Creation Ltd.)이 주최합니다. 주최사는 1996년 홍콩에서 설립된 이래로 수많은 예술관련 행사를 제작, 홍보, 주최하여 왔습니다.

또한, 2012년 5월에 홍콩에서 최초로 호텔아트페어를 주최한 홍콩 회사입니다. 명성있는 아티스트 및 디자이너와 함께 일을 해왔습니다. 오스카 수상자를 비롯한 국제 영화배우, 가장 인지도 있는 국제 예술 기관에서 국제 예술가에 이르는 폭넓은 범위를 자랑합니다.

일인 조직의 타 호텔 아트페어와 달리, HKC는 고유의 디자인, 마케팅, 매니지먼트 그리고 제작팀에 의해 운영됩니다. 운영팀 구성원들은 훌륭한 아트페어 주최에 항상 몰두하고 있습니다.

홍콩섬 내 완차이 비즈니스 구역의 중심에 위치한 호텔로, 컨벤션 센터와 홍콩 공연예술 대학교와 같은 상징적인 건물들과 근거리에 있습니다. 교통 요지로 완차이 MTR역과 5분 거리로 코즈웨이베이와 애드머럴티와 같은 홍콩의 주요 구역에 접근이 용이합니다.

<버짓 아트페어 2013>과 같은 기간에 홍콩 시계 박람회가 행사장 맞은 편인 홍콩 컨벤션 센터에서 개최됩니다. 세계 최대의 시계 박람회로 전세계의 시계 산업 관계자 및 고급 시계 수요자들이 대거 몰립니다. 지난해 이 행사에는 17,500명이 방문했으며, 동시기 개최로 본 아트페어와 연계되리라 예상합니다. 또한, 이 기간의 유일한 아트 페어로서 미술품 수요자의 운집을 기대합니다

Hong Kong Contemporary Budget Art Fair 2013

In 2012, Hong Kong Contemporary has launched its debut event in Hong Kong, drawing collectors from all over the world to Hong Kong, which was an extraordinary success. Hong Kong Contemporary is positioning itself to be a premier art fair in Hong Kong. We aim to create an art fair that is of high quality at reasonable cost. To realize this goal, we are launching the Budget art fair this year.

Recent research on the art industry shows that the galleries’ primary source of income comes from sales at art fairs rather then sales at the galleries themselves. This research confirms the importance of art fairs in the art industry. However, participation in major art fairs is very expensive to the point that it is not profitable for galleries to participate. Therefore, various hotel fairs have become increasingly popular in Asia.

A True Budget Art Fair for Everyone

In Budget art fair, our objective is to hold an art fair that is affordable by both exhibitors and art buyers. The cost for exhibitors can be as low as US$1,670.00. It will be a great opportunity for overseas galleries to promote their brands in this outreach art fair. While for buyers, the cost of artworks sold will be in the range less than US$3,800.00. This is an art fair you definitely cannot miss.

Venue and Date

Gloucester Luk Kwok Hong Kong situated in the heart of Wanchai’s business district on Hong Kong Island, the hotel places you close to many iconic Hong Kong sites including the Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. The Wanchai Mass Transit Railway (MTR) Station is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and will provide you fast and easy access to all other parts of Hong Kong, such as Causeway Bay and Admiralty.

At the same time of HKC Budget 2013, Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair will be hosted in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The world's largest timepiece event, with more than 17,500 buyers participating, up 4.5 per cent over last year. Emerging market buyers were up significantly, including Iran (up 32 per cent), the Chinese mainland (up 17 per cent) and Russia (up 17 per cent).
