화가로서, 나는 언제나 자연의 신비로움을 표현하기를 열망했다. 특히 회화적으로 표현하고자 노력했던 것은, 길고 긴 인고의 겨울을 견뎌 깨어난 생명의 화신, 꽃이다!
As a painter I always desired to expressed the mysteries of the nature, in particular, the living life incarnated in the spring flowers awakened after tormenting and long winter.
그 꽃들은 어디에서 왔는가 ?
색깔과
모두 다른 모양새와
그윽한 향기들......
Where did the flowers come?
Their colors,
Their different forms
Their subtle perfume.......!!!
우리를 매혹시키는 이 꽃들을 관조하면서, 작가의 느낌과 감성을 따라 우주적 생명의 근원에 좀 더 다가가고자 했다. 형체는 파괴 되었지만, 선과 색감을 통해 기원에서 파생되어 나오는 꽃 이전의 꽃을 표현해 보았다.
I tried to get closer to the origin of the life, through the contemplation of those flowers which never fail to fascinate and enchant us. I wanted to expressed the images of original flowers as they present themselves to my own sensibilities, the flowers before the flowers deprived of definite forms but filled with the atmosphere of the origin.
그림에 붙여진 스티커들을 발견하게 될 것이다. 스티커들은 이야기를 만든다. 그러나 그 이야기가 주제는 아니다. 그 이야기를 두루 어우르는 이 배경이야말로 사실 작가 자신이 표현하고자 했던 주제이자, 핵심이며, 꽃 이전의 꽃이다.
You will see the stickers in my paintings. They make stories. Listen to them. But pay attention not to passe over the backdrop which is mostly inform and silent. This colored landscape with weak tonality is in fact what I wanted to present to you.
몇 번의 전시회를 치렀지만, 매번 아쉬움이 남는 것도 어쩔 수 없는 사실이다. 그리고 이제 다시 처음처럼 이 자리에 선다. 이번 전시에서 작가는, 작가 자신의 진정한 독창성을 잘 드러내 보일 수 있도록 조금 더 가다듬고 손질해서 보여주고 싶었다.
Passing through several expositions which was in a certain way unsatisfactory for my part, I arrived at this moment again, as if it were first time. In this exposition, I wanted to show you the authentic reconstituted originality of my paintings.
