The breath of nature - With my memories of the time
자연의 한 생명체인 인간은 삶의 표현방식 또한 자연에서 느껴진다.
그 생명력의 근원과 의미 등을 자연의 풀 한포기,꽃, 나무와 공기,바람으로도 느낄 수 있다
나의 작업은 순수한 회화적 행위로써 어떤 형식과 짜여진 구조나 틀 없이 자유롭게 표현한다
일순간의 감정이 점이나,선이 되어 흰 여백 위를 날아다니거나
때론 자연의 이미지나 형상으로 시공을 넘나든다.
화면 속의 흰 여백은 공백이 아닌 또 다른 세계일수도 자연의 무한 공간일 수 도 있다.
나의 작업은 또 다른 세계와 나 와의 만남이다.
보다 직접적인 만남을 위해 붓이 아닌 먼저 손으로 화면에 그어대고,뿌리고,문지르고 하는 원초적 행위 부터 시작하는데, 그 시작은 무념의 상태에서 자유로이 마음의 움직임에 따른다.
그 자유로움 속에 나타난 무형의 이미지에서 자연의 형상과 또는 무언가를 의미하는 요소들로써 생동감 있는 터치와 다양한 조형언어로 화면을 채운다 - 이 순간이 곧 자연과 내가 하나 됨을 느낀다.
표현을 위한 필요에 따라서 자유롭게 구상적 이미지와 추상적 이미지를 혼용했고 생동감 있는 거친 터치의 표현을 위해 화면의 바탕에 질감을 더 하기도 했다.
현대 미술은 점점 난해 해지고 해석조차 어려운 시각적 실험과 암호들로 가득하다.
이 시대에 다소 진부 하다고 까지 느껴지는 나의 이 순진한 '그리기'가 보는 이로 하여금 일상에서 벗어나 마음속 깊은 곳의 감성을 깨우고, 우리 내면의 소중한 자연의 존재와 의미를 느끼게 할 수 있는 기회가 되었으면 하는 바람이다.

The breath of nature – With my memories of the time
Human beings are of a part of the natural creature and expressional methods of their lives of life can get to feel nature. I can spontaneously feel its origin of the survival power and meanings through a single plant, a flower, a tree or air and wind. Nature has gotten along with humans because they are nature and it also becomes them.
My drawing methods express purely pictorial actions so that the surface on my canvas becomes one of nature. My paintings are unartificial expressed without making any forms and compositions or uniform patterns. A moment of my feelings gets dots or lines so that they fly on the white surface on my canvas. And sometimes they change shapes of natural image, then moving them from time to space and turning each other.
The white space on surface is not commonly blank space but a echo system or another room that I really want to talk about my stories to people, being one of other worlds. My work is to connect different worlds with me so that my painting way is represented in it.
Instead of using brushes, I choose my fingers first of all to get more direct encounter and experience. I begin to apply instinctive actions like drawing sprinkling and rubbing on the surface. When I paint, the beginning have the condition of freedom from all thoughts, and then its actions make me follow freely spiritual movement. In the free movement, formless imagery eventually becomes to natural shapes and some elements that I can not predict exactly what they will do the image. My works of art are full up with animation of freely brush strokes and the different formation of language - at the moment, nature and I feel to be directly united.
Even though nature is no match for humans and we mere existence in front of it, we are also the same. Through my drawing methods, I give to show the momentarily different changes of nature and true reasonableness to people. So throughout it I want the showers to would find the existence and the meaning of our deeply significant nature. I think that this solo exhibition may help to have an opportunity feel the breath of nature to the them.
