안녕하세요. 갤러리 반디트라소가 오는 9월 29일(수)부터 10월 30일(토)까지 콜롬비아 작가 ‘Dario Ortiz Robledo 다리오 오르티즈’ 展 을 선보입니다. 콜럼비아 출신 작가인 다리오 오르티즈는 신사실주의 화풍을 통해 설화적인 작품을 선보이며 콜럼비아 미술, 더 나아가서는 라틴 아메리카 미술의 또 다른 면을 발견할 수 있는 작품이 전시될 예정입니다.
다리오 오르티스(1968년생~ )는 고전적 테마에 근거를 둔 현대적인 작품들로 유명하며 라틴 아메리카의 현대적인 설화예술의 부흥을 주도 하는 인물로 평가 되고 있습니다.
특히 역사와 예술이론 그리고 미술비평과 현대미술이론에 관심을 두고 그림을 그리는 그의 작품에는 형식적인 기교보다는 역사적 통찰과 내면의 표출이 서술적이면서도 드라마틱한 요소로 표현되어 있습니다.

그의 작품에는 사회적 영향 혹은 종교적인 느낌으로 인물들이 구성되어 있기도 하며 다소 냉소적이면서도 때로는 엄숙한 분위기 속에서 깊이 있는 공간을 만들어 극적인 연출을 이끌기도 합니다.
2003년 'Tolima Art Museum' 를 설립하고 'Academy of History of the Tolima'의 멤버이기도 한 다리오 오르티즈는 뉴욕과 보고타를 오가며 활발히 작업하는 작가이며 미국, 이탈리아, 슬로바키아, 콜럼비아, 에콰도르 등 세계 여러 곳에서 그의 작품이 소장되어 있습니다.
이번 갤러리 반디트라소에서 소개되는 다리오 오르티즈의 작품은 일련의 시리즈로 구성되어 있으며, 9월 15일부터 10월 31일까지 명동 롯데 에비뉴엘(전관 1층) ‘라틴 현대 미술展-매직리얼리즘’에서도 관람하실 수 있습니다. 여러분의 많은 관심 바랍니다.
