독일 아우그스부그르(augsburg) 출신의 사진가이자, 중앙대 교환교수인 발터 베르그모저는 이번이 한국에서의 두 번째 개인전으로 그의 열정적이고 감성적인 작업이 선 보인다.
그는 독일 카셀대학에서 사진학 석사를 취득한 이후 체코의 프라하영화학교, 핀란드 헬싱키디자인대학, 독일 바이마르의 바우하우스에서 교수를 역임하였다.
이번 갤러리 K에서 열리는 개인전 “AMBIENT NOISE” 는 작가가 느끼는 일상에서의 소리들을 시각적으로 표현한 작품들로 구성된다.
The last refuse
우리의 일상은 시각적으로 잔잔한 소리들로 뒤 덮여 있다. 그것은 어느 때는 아름답지만 어느 때는 시끄럽다. 어떤 경우는 잔잔한 소리들이 우리의 마음과 지각을 어둡게 만드는 조율기능을 한다. 이러한 소리들은 마치 부드러운 섬유공과 같은 것을 에워싸는 것이다. 모든 감각은 사라진다. 내가 내 내부 긴장감을 버리면서 나는 나의 시각 언어를 더욱 단련시키고, 이미지를 만들면서 그 소리들은 침묵의 콘서트이면서도 즐겁고 우아한 콘서트로 녹아 든다. 소리가 없다면 그곳은 아무것도 존재하지 않는다.
다양하게 전시된 많은 프로젝트들을 통하여 “이러한 종류의 작품”을 볼 수 있다.
